Crash Backs Up Traffic On I-95 In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A crash involving three vehicles has Interstate 95 motorists in Bridgeport seeking alternate ways of travel.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash happened at approximately 1:19 p.m. between exits 29 and 27 of the interstate.

As a result, the DOT said traffic is heavily congested for about 1.9 miles between exits 30 and 27.

State officials said they don't believe the cleanup will last longer than an hour, so the highway should be clear relatively soon.
