This CT City Among 'Least Sinful' In The Country

This Connecticut city is no Las Vegas....

BRIDGEPORT, CT — If you're looking to have a good—or let's say sinful—time, then Bridgeport is not the place to go, at least according to a recent WalletHub study. Bridgeport ranks 180th out 182 cities across the country in its "2020's Most Sinful Cities List."

Number one will come as no surprise: Las Vegas. Los Angeles, St. Louis, Houston, and Atlanta round out the top five.

This includes a wide swath of different measures, from the number of adult entertainment establishments and crime rates to the number of casinos and fast-food restaurants.

"From beer-loving Milwaukee to hedonistic New Orleans, the U.S. is filled with people behaving illicitly," according to the report. "No place is innocent. We all have demons.

"But at some point, we all have to pay for our vices. Gambling addiction, for instance, leads to over $100 billion in losses for U.S. consumers every year. In 2019, identity theft and fraud took a toll of $16.9 billion. And every year, smoking burns an over $300 billion hole in Uncle Sam’s wallet."

Others cities joining Bridgeport as ranking least sinful in the country include Pearl City, HI; South Burlington, VT; Fremont, CA: Port St. Lucie, FL; and Cape Coral, FL.
