Cyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Bridgeport; Cops Seek Suspect

The crash occurred early Tuesday near the intersection of Waterview and Crescent avenues, according to Bridgeport police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 24-year-old Bridgeport man died Tuesday of injuries he suffered when the motorized bike he was riding was struck by a vehicle, and Bridgeport police are searching for the driver who fled the scene following the crash.

Jeffrey Omar Enamorado was hit just after 6 a.m. near the intersection of Waterview and Crescent avenues. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he later died.

"The striking vehicle fled the scene and did not remain to render any appropriate aid to the victim," said Bridgeport Police Capt. Lonnie Blackwell, M.S., in a statement. "On behalf of the Bridgeport Police Department, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim."

The department's Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the crash, in addition to seeking the vehicle and identity of the driver.
