Dave & Buster's Planned for Bridgeport: Report

Mayor Joe Ganim says there are around $1 billion in economic development projects underway or planned for 2017.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — During his annual address to the city's business community Monday, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim announced that officials are planning to bring a Dave & Buster's restaurant to the city, reports the Connecticut Post.

In his speech, Ganim announced that the eatery/arcade combination chain is in the works for the Seaview Plaza site on the city's East End. The plans also call for a Gala Fresh Farms grocery store in the plaza. To sign up for Bridgeport breaking news alerts and more, click here.

The report did not indicate a timeline for when the plans might come together.

During his speech, Ganim estimated there were $1 billion in economic development projects underway or planned for 2017.

Dave & Buster's combines a full-service eatery with a large arcade. The closest location to the city is located at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, NY. There is currently only one location in Connecticut, located in Manchester.
