Downtown Cabaret Theatre Presents "Cabaret"

Bridgeport, CT - The Downtown Cabaret Theatre, led by Executive Producer Hugh Hallinan, is thrilled to announce the opening of the beloved musical Cabaret on April 21, 2023. The show, featuring a book by Joe Masteroff, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, will run through May 21, 2023. The production will run on Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 5pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 5pm. Tickets start at $37. Half-price tickets day of show subject to availability.

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome to Cabaret! It’s 1931 Berlin, and inside the Kit Kat Klub, British nightclub singer Sally Bowles keeps the delirious party raging. But no amount of booze, music, and dancing can slow the ominous march of a changing Germany.

The cast includes an impressive line-up of talented performers, including Sean Davis as the Emcee, Kelsey Senteio as Sally Bowles, Joseph DeVellis as Cliff Bradshaw, Priscilla Squiers as Fraulein Schneider, Chris Hetherington as Herr Shultz, Emily Pisarra as Fraulein Kost, and Jagger Kuggler as Ernst Ludwig. The production also includes an impressive ensemble cast, each member bringing their unique talents and energy to the stage.

Cabaret has a stellar creative team led by Hugh Hallinan, Executive Producer; Bradford Blake, Director; Olivia Rivera, Choreographer; Mark Ceppetelli, Musical Director; Lesley Neilson-Bowman, Costume Designer; Axel Hammermann, Lighting Designer; and David McQuillen-Robertson, Scenic Designer. The talented band features Musical Director Mark Ceppetelli on keyboards, Gary Ruggiero on reeds, Michael Pontecorvo on trumpet, Aaron Barkon on trombone, Rich Zurkowski on bass, Roger Post on drums, and Nate Dobas as substitute drummer.
