Dozens Of Dogs And A Cat Rescued From Bridgeport Home: Report

The animals - in various medical conditions - were pulled out of a home on Kent Street.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A total of 31 animals, that police said suffered from various medical problems, were pulled out of a home on Kent Street in Bridgeport on Tuesday and their owner is expected to face charges, reports the Connecticut Post.

Bridgeport police and animal control received a complaint about the animals from an area rescue group. The animals - 28 small, mixed-breeds, two puppies and a cat - are now in the custody of animal control and receiving treatment.

Bridgeport resident Betty Lee could face charges related to the discovery, but the case remains under investigation. Rescue groups interested in taking in the animals once they are medically cleared can contact Bridgeport Animal Control at 203-576-7727.
