Driver In Fatal Bridgeport Hit-And-Run Identified: Report
Police have identified a driver and seized a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run last week.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police have identified a driver and seized a vehicle in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Bridgeport last week, according to The Connecticut Post. A 2002 Toyota Camry struck a pedestrian who was trying to cross Main Street near the intersection with Hillview Avenue on Thursday.
The driver then got out of the car and was trying to stop traffic when a second vehicle ran over the pedestrian who was lying in the street. That driver fled on Main Street, according to The Connecticut Post.
The victim, Donna Dvornek, 63, was rushed to the hospital but died of her injuries.

Police later received a call from a woman who said she was the driver who fled. The woman's 2008 white Mitsubishi Endeavor was seized by investigators.
Charges have not yet been filed against the driver, The Connecticut Post reported.
