He is accused of passing out in a drunken stupor on the side of the road with his 2-year-old in a stroller next to him.

Bridgeport, CT - A 38-year-old dad from Bridgeport was arrested Sunday on a charge of Risk of Injury to a Minor for allegedly passing out drunk with his 2-year-old child in a stroller next to him, according to police.

Keith Newkirk smelled of alcohol when police approached him, having received calls of a passed out man on Grant Street with a child next to him, reports the Connecticut Post.

He claimed to police that he had only stopped briefly to rest, but prior to that he allegedly berated a concerned person who had woken him up, police said.
