THE Fifthies Era

SO MUCH GREAT TALENT

OH YES THE 50'S.BOY I remember the record hops.I remember playing my portable radio at the beach listening to the ROCK AND ROLL channels.GUYS like JIM GALLANT on CONNECTICUT BANDSTAND,DICK CLARK AMERICAN BANDSTAND,DJ'S like ALAN FREED,SCOTT MUNI and numerous others bringing us the biggest hits from the biggest stars.Records were a way of life for teens.THERE were so many groups back then like THE FIVE SATINS,THE DUPREES,THE FOUR SEASONS,THE BEACH BOYS,DANNY AND THE JUNIORS,THE SHIRELLES,THE MARVELETTES among so many artists of the day.ELVIS was big,LITTLE RICHARD,FATS DOMINO.JACKIE WILSON.TINA TURNER WITH IKE TURNER,THE RONETTES so so many but now all that great sound has disappeared and now we have a new sound ,a new era for a new generation.Boy life was grand BACK IN THE DAY.I remember the parties, the record hops, shopping for the latest hits at my favorite record shop RUDY FRANKS' on FAIRFIELD AVE,BPT CT.BOY music has changed for sure but my memories of-a better time have not faded away yet.TO me ROCK AND ROLL ilives on forever.
