Former Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi was fired by Mayor Joseph Ganim earlier this year.

BRIDGEPORT, CT - Former Bridgeport Assistant Police Chief James Nardozzi is threatening to sue the city if he is not paid $1 million he believes he is owed, reports the Connecticut Post.

Nardozzi was fired earlier this year when Mayor Joseph Ganim reorganized the department, but his attorney's believe the termination was unfair.

According to the Post, key among Nardozzi's priorities at the department was to lower the force's overtime spending, which often placed him at odds with officers.
