Firefighters Extinguish Garage Fire In Bridgeport: FD

The cause of the early Friday fire is under investigation, according to Bridgeport fire officials.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport firefighters doused a garage fire early Friday morning on Brooks Street, according to officials.

The fire was reported just after 4 a.m., which was contained to the garage in the rear of the home. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

Initially, fire officials had suspicions that a puppy mill was possibly being run from the site, due to the discovery of an animal structure at the garage.
