Flooding Closes Half-Dozen Roads In Bridgeport: Police
Heavy rains and windy conditions have pounded the region in the past 36 hours.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Flooding on Monday has resulted in the closure of a half-dozen roads in Bridgeport, according to police.
The following roads remained closed at noon on Monday, and will remain closed "until conditions improve":
- East Main Street & Crescent Street
- Bishop Avenue at the Railroad Avenue Viaduct
- River Street between North Washington Avenue & North Avenue
- State Street & Iranistan Avenue
"Please avoid these areas, plan for alternate routes, and never attempt to drive through flooded roadways," Bridgeport police wrote on Facebook. "We appreciate your patience and cooperation as crews continue to monitor conditions."
