Ganim Looks To Petition Way To Democrat Primary
Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim will begin to collect signatures to appear on the ballot.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim will look to collect more than 15,000 signatures by June 12 in order to qualify for a spot on the Democratic primary ballot for governor.
Candidates can qualify for a spot by winning at least 15 percent of the delegates at the state Democratic convention or by gathering signatures from two percent of registered Democrats in the state, according to the CT Mirror.
Ganim doesn't qualify for public financing due to his felony criminal corruption conviction. He raised around $525,000 by early April.
