BOY DO I ever remember our great amusement park PLEASURE BEACH.AS you stepped off the C.R.L. BUS for your day at the beach you can feel the excitement starting to grab a hold of you.AS you walked through the high arch you passed the PENNY ARCADE,food stands,french fries cooking filled the air.YOU'D pass stands where candy apples were being made,ice cream and cotton candy added to your excitement all seemed to be beckoning to buy it ,try it.OF course when you first entered the rides area the giant roller coaster greeted you with the screaming riders .A spooky house thrilled you also if you were brave enough to buy a ticket.A carousel with painted horses added glamour to the ride and the music played loudly as the horses went up and down thrilling us .THERE were so many rides and a ballroom for dancing for adults and a great beach for swimming or you could fish off the bridge if that was your wish.BOY life back then was great.I sure miss those days.NOW it is just a rustic memory for PLEASURE BEACH is part of our history.
