GoFundMe Effort Launched To Aid Bridgeport Victims Of Fatal Crash
Nine people were killed in the Monday crash, all of whom were from, or had familial ties to, Bridgeport.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help the Bridgeport family members of the nine people who were killed in a one-vehicle crash on Monday in Belle Glade, Florida.
The fundraising effort was launched by Patrice Wiggins, whose mother, Pamela Wiggins, who was killed in the crash. Pamela Wiggins, 56, was the driver of the 2023 Ford Explorer, the Connecticut Post reported.
Three adults and six children were killed in the crash, and a 10th person, Jorden Rickey Hall, 26, survived and is hospitalized in serious condition. Hall is the son of Lloyd Hall, a custodial worker in Bridgeport Public Schools, News 12 Connecticut reported.

"I am asking that everyone please donate to go towards the funeral costs and the memorial of these precious lives lost," Patrice Wiggins wrote on GoFundMe. "Thank you for your donation and God bless."
As of Wednesday afternoon, the campaign had raised more than $21,000 toward a goal of $100,000.
