Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut (GWNC) hosted a ribbon cutting – featuring guests from Senator Murphy’s Office, Bridgeport’s Office of Planning and Economic Development, and the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce – on June 13th to celebrate the opening of its 21,000 square foot ecommerce facility. More than 20 guests joined the celebration and enjoyed a private tour of the facility.

“Ecommerce is the fastest growing asset in Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut’s portfolio, generating $6.5 million since launching in 2019,” Rocco Tricarico, President & CEO, Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut, said. “This rapidly growing platform has allowed us to not only grow our footprint and staffing at Goodwill, but allocate more proceeds to support our mission – providing free employment services to thousands of unemployed and under-employed Connecticut residents through our network of Career Centers.”

“We are thankful to the guests from our community who joined us to celebrate this momentous occasion,” Ken Bennett, VP of Retail and Facilities, Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut, said. “Our ecommerce team is a group of talented individuals who are invested in Goodwill’s mission. And, it is especially rewarding to count individuals who have benefitted from the human services initiatives we offer to Military Veterans among those valued team members.”
