Heavy Traffic Expected In Downtown Bridgeport During NCAA Tourney
The traffic is expected around Total Mortgage Arena for the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Drivers should plan for heavy traffic Saturday and Monday in downtown Bridgeport.
The traffic is expected around Total Mortgage Arena for the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament, according to a city news release. Fans traveling downtown Saturday morning and early afternoon, as well as Monday evening, should allow additional travel time. Guests are encouraged to arrive early, carpool, or take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven line to the games.
Event parking is located in the gravel surface lots across from the arena between Lafayette Street and Broad Street, and in the Harbor Yard Transit Garage on South Frontage Road. Parking on event day is $20, cash only. Parking will open 9 a.m. Saturday and 4:30 p.m. Monday.

A limited number of tickets remained as of Thursday for the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight games. Tickets can be purchased at the Yale New Haven Health Box Office at Total Mortgage Arena or online at NCAA.com/WBBTickets.

- 9 a.m.: Parking lots open
- 10 a.m.: Doors open
- 11:30 a.m.: No. 1 NC State vs. No. 5 Notre Dame
- 2 p.m.: No. 2 UConn vs. No. 3 Indiana
Monday
- 4:30 p.m.: Parking lots open
- 5:30 p.m.: Doors open
- 7 p.m.: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
