HHC Announces New Fairfield Region Board of Director Members

The Hartford HealthCare Fairfield Region, which includes St. Vincent’s Medical Center, is proud to announce that Robin Cautin, Debra Liebowitz and Jane Manning have joined the Fairfield Region Board of Directors.

Robin Lynn Cautin is the provost at Sacred Heart University (SHU). Cautin served as dean of SHU’s College of Arts & Sciences from 2014-2021. Prior to her time at SHU, she served as dean of undergraduate education, associate provost and professor of psychology at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY. Cautin completed her postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology at Columbia University and her doctorate in clinical psychology at Case Western Reserve University. She earned her bachelor’s degree with distinction in psychology and philosophy at the University of Delaware. Cautin is a noted scholar in the history of psychology and of clinical psychology in particular. She is the co-editor in chief of the five-volume Encyclopedia of Clinical Psychology, published by Wiley-Blackwell in January 2015, and has recently agreed to author a book for Oxford University Press on the history of psychotherapy in the United States.

Debra J. Liebowitz is the provost at Quinnipiac University. She oversees all academic programs at Quinnipiac, the university’s nine schools, including schools of law and medicine, and all other academic units. She is also a professor of political science. Both at Quinnipiac and at Drew University where she previously served as provost and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, Liebowitz has a long history of developing partnerships with industry, community organizations and other colleges and universities. She is currently leading the academic components of a unique University-wide strategic partnership between Quinnipiac and Hartford HealthCare that includes the development of and expansion of degree and certificate programs, research collaboration, internship, employment and clinical placement opportunities for students, leadership development programs for Hartford HealthCare employees, and innovative solutions to talent pipeline issues. She holds degrees in political science — an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, and master’s and doctoral degrees from Rutgers University. Liebowitz earned the President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching, and the Center for Civic Engagement’s Faculty Leadership Award while at Drew University. She is a scholar of gender and international human rights, has trained human rights advocates from more than 60 countries about how to use the United Nations’ human rights system, and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Human Rights, published by Taylor and Francis. She is also on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Global Advisory Board of the Future Talent Council.

Jane Manning is the chief counsel in the Legal & Regulatory Group at Bridgewater Associates, LP. While at Bridgewater, Manning has managed and executed a variety of transactions and advised on corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Bridgewater, she was vice president, associate general counsel and corporate secretary of Frontier Communications Corporation, a public telecommunications company. From 2009-2015, she was an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where her practice areas included mergers and acquisitions, banking and securities. She received her bachelor’s from Colgate University and Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School. She is a member of the New York State Bar and is authorized in-house counsel in Connecticut.
