BRIDGEPORT, CT — It's no surprise that President Joe Biden was declared the Democratic winner of Connecticut's presidential primary, and former President Donald Trump was declared the Republican winner, just as polls closed Tuesday night.

Both the Democrat and Republican front-runners have already clinched their nominations. Biden will be running against former President Trump in November, with both candidates easily sweeping aside primary rivals to be their party's banner bearer once again.

The vote tallies are unofficial, but the overall results were almost certain, even though there were several names on both the Republican and Democrat primary ballots in Connecticut.
