Increased Theft From Work Vans Reported In Bridgeport
Police have issued a warning to residents after increased reports of theft.
BRIDGEPORT, CT – Last week, the Police Department issued an advisory after several accounts of theft from work vans.
"Bridgeport Police are asking citizens to be aware of an increase in thefts of tools from work style vans throughout the City," police said in a statement. "Citizens are advised to take the time to remove tools from their vehicles at the end of a work day and secure them in a shed or garage if a vehicle must be left on the street. If a citizen has access to a garage, this is the preferred method of storing a vehicle and tools to reduce the likelihood of theft."
