BOY do I remember this show of the 1940's.HOWDY DOODY was a great show for kids.BUFFALO BOB SMITH hosted the show along with HOWDY DOODY and other puppets as well as live characters such as CLARABEL/PRINCES SUMMER ,FALL,WINTER-SPRING,CHIEF THUNDERTHUD back in the day when tv was really in its'infancy.This show was years ago prior to BC [BEFORE CABLE]TRULY an-epic with leadership for childrens'shows that followed.IT was a fun show with no drama /no violence just pure laughter and entertainment.IT originated on radio.IT was created by BOB SMITH.Original aired on NBC.Original released on DECEMBER 27TH 1947.THERE were 3 original HOWDY DOODY puppets.The show ran from 1947-1960.I'M sure some readers remember hearing''SAY KIDS WHAT TIME IS IT?"
