Jim Royle Drum Studio to Perform at The Watermark
Concert will be free of charge and open to the public
On Sunday, December 11, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host the Jim Royle Drum Studio for a performance of holiday drum arrangements inspired by Latin, Jazz, and Afro-Cuban musical genres. The event will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the retirement community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.
Located in Bridgeport and privately owned, the Jim Royle Drum Studio offers lessons to students of all ages, providing them the opportunity to audition for and perform in ensembles. The studio also offers a Student-to-Student program that provides low-income youth in Bridgeport weekly percussion lessons, participation in one of the five ensembles, and mentoring for personal and professional growth.
Members of the studio ranging in age 10 to 76 will be performing at the retirement community before the studio’s official holiday concert the following week.
