Bridgeport should feel honored since it was the home of several actors such as ROBERT MITCHUM,RICHARD BELZER and of course our very own JOHN RATZENBERGER.HE is well remembered as CLIFF CLAVIN -the know it all mailman on the series CHEERS.HE was born in BRIDGEPORT APRIL 6TH,1947.Formerly years ago studied right here at SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY.After various jobs he moved to LONDON.IN LONDON he started acting in various roles.This was in the 70's.IN 1982 tried out for CHEERS and got the role as the mailman which lasted through 1993.To his credit are numerous movies such as SUPERMAN AND SUPERMAN 2.Again BRIDGEPORT 's own took the high rode to fame.
