There were 2 JOHNNY -PHILIP MORRIS icons. The first one I recall was a gentleman named JOHNNY ROVENTINI -the other was a genleman I met years ago ALBERT FRANCIS ''JOHNNY MORRIS JR.''ALTIERI.-Albert was born in BRIDGEPORT,CT,DECEMBER 10TH 1915.HE passed away on JANUARY 13TH,2002.HE is buried at ST.MICHAELS ALBERT Altieri was the son of immigrant parents in BRIDGEPORT.HE became a pageboy at a hotel and was friends with JOHNNY ROVENTINI [the other JOHNNY PHILIP MORRIS]. HE got hired by some executives of PHILIP MORRIS as a spokesperson for PHILIP MORRIS.HE worked as a bellboy at a hotel when he got discovered.HE BECAME THE FAMOUS JOHNNY-PHILIP MORRIS ICON-IN-the 30's-40's 50's he was the advertising icon and the ads did well. This was noted as the best commercial.JOHNNY traveled the U.S.A. as well as other world countries..HE even visited THE WHITE HOUSE.HE-retired in 1982 after 47 years of service.Quite a life for a man who was a living icon.
