Judge Handles Bridgeport Bullying Situation

A judge stepped in to resolve a bullying situation.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Superior Court judge entered the role normally reserved for school administration by ordering a civil protection order after reports of bullying at Bassick High School.

A 15 and 18-year-old girl filed orders against four other girls after accusing them of bullying, according to the Connecticut Post.

A Board of Education member said it was "disheartening" that the students felt a need to involve the courts after dealing with school administrators and police.
