Kuma The Brazilian Ocelot Dies At Beardsley Zoo

She died of natural causes at the age of 14.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Kuma the Brazilian ocelot at Beardsley Zoo passed away.

Kuma was 14-years-old and passed away on May 23. She was one of five Brazilian ocelots in the past 20 years to give birth after being artificially inseminated.

Kuma lost her left leg and tail after being accidentally injured by her father at a young age, according to the zoo.
