Legendary Wrestlers to Guest Manage Bridgeport Bluefish
A trio of stars from the New World Order faction of WCW will take the reins of the Atlantic League club this Friday.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three members of a groundbreaking faction in professional wrestling will serve as guest managers of the Bridgeport Bluefish game.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Famers Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, who co-founded the infamous New World Order (nWo) with the legendary Hulk Hogan in 1996 while part of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), are scheduled to take the helm of the Bluefish on Friday, Sept. 2, when Bridgeport hosts the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in Atlantic League of Professional Baseball action. Game time is slated for 7:12 p.m. at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.
They will be joined by Sean Waltman, who starred in WWE as the 1-2-3 Kid before jumping to WCW and joining the nWo under the moniker Syxx. He later performed as X-Pac.

“The nWo is taking over The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on September 2nd,” said Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole in a written statement. “This will be an exciting night of baseball and wrestling as fans will be able to meet these three former WWE Superstars and also experience a live wrestling showcase from the Micro Wrestling Federation.”
After beginning his WCW career with some unsuccessful gimmicks, Nash entered WWE under the name Diesel in 1993 as a bodyguard for fellow Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. In less than a year, he captured the tag team championship with Michaels and the Intercontinental title as a solo performer. He culminated 1994 by defeating WWE champion Bob Backlund in Madison Square Garden in just eight seconds, and proceeded to hold the belt for nearly a full year.
In WCW, Nash held the world heavyweight championship belt on five occasions. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
Hall, known as Razor Ramon during his WWE tenure, was a four-time WWE Intercontinental champion, two-time WCW United States champion, one-time WCW World Television titleholder and nine-time World Tag Team champion, including seven reigns in WCW. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame (in his Razor Ramon persona) in 2014.
This will be the fourth guest manager appearance for the Bluefish this year. Earlier in the season, baseball stars Roger Clemens and Ozzie Guillen and softball legend Jennie Finch acted in the same capacity.
Tickets may be purchased in advance for $12 by contacting the Bluefish Ticket Office at 203-210-BLUE or tickets@bridgeportbluefish.com. A pregame meet-and-greet with the three nWo members, which begins at 5:30 p.m., costs $50 per person, and includes a ticket to the game, the opportunity to take photos with the nWo and have one item autographed.
