Man Beat Up Ex-Girlfriend's Dog, Police Say
The incident occurred Sunday night in Bridgeport.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 37-year-old Bridgeport man, allegedly upset that his ex-girlfriend had obtained a protective order against him, repeatedly punched the woman's pit bull Sunday night and threw it into a car, according to police.
The Connecticut Post reports that the suspect, Junaro Cruz, had allegedly threatened the woman in the past. He beat up the dog, named Charlie, outside of her home, police said, adding that the dog did not appear to suffer any injuries.
