Man Hospitalized After Being Shot Multiple Times In Bridgeport: Police

Bridgeport police detectives are investigating the shooting, which occurred over the weekend.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Waterbury man, 30, was listed in stable condition in Bridgeport Hospital over the weekend, after he was shot multiple times, according to Bridgeport police.

The victim, who formerly lived in Bridgeport's West Side, arrived at the hospital at about 4:25 a.m. on Sunday, but police did not disclose where the shooting took place.

"There were no ShotSpotter activations within the City of Bridgeport during the 2 hours prior to this incident," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement. "The victim has ties to other jurisdictions in Western Connecticut, with a last known residential address in Waterbury, CT."

ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection service that alerts police when shots are fired within various parts of the city.
