Man Sentenced After Bridgeport Teen Killed By Gunfire

The teen ran out to the store to pick up some items for his mother when he was caught in the crossfire of a gunfight.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — City man Michael Majors, 24, was sentenced to 30 years in prison after a teen bystander was caught in the crossfire during a gunfight Christmas Eve 2015.

Luis Colon, 14, went to the store to pick up some items on State Street for his mother when gunfire erupted and he was hit by a bullet in the spine, according to the Connecticut Post. He succumbed to his injuries.

Surveillance video showed Majors and Garth Minto fire at each other around 4:30 p.m. Minto was charged with murder in the case.
