Man Shot Outside Birthday Party in Bridgeport: Police
A 34-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday night on Benham Avenue, according to police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 34-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot outside a birthday party in Bridgeport, police said.
Officers responded to Benham Avenue Saturday night after receiving reports of a shooting and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, according to NBC Connecticut. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
"Witnesses reported the victim was standing in crowd that included children outside of the birthday party, when a car drove by and the shots were fired," police said.
