Mayor Joe Ganim Announces Party Endorsement

Ganim for Bridgeport: Tonight, Mayor Joe Ganim was endorsed by Bridgeport’s Democratic Town Committee. “I thank the Democratic Town Committee for their confidence in me to be the endorsed Democrat in this campaign for Mayor. I am excited to get to work with our great slate of endorsed candidates for City Council, Board of Education, Town Clerk, City Clerk, and City Sheriff. This team has a real vision to build on the progress of the past four years to build a better Bridgeport for all its citizens. The Democratic Town Committee recognizes that is the right direction for the city.” said Mayor Joe Ganim. “This campaign is about how we build on our progress to develop our economy, create jobs, improve our schools, cut property taxes, keep our neighborhoods safe, and make Bridgeport a place that attracts young people, families, and new businesses.”

Over the last four years, Mayor Ganim has held the line on taxes, increased economic development citywide, has added over 100 police officers, and has continued to push for better schools.
