OH the memories of the way we were still linger in my mind refusing to disappear about the way BRIDGEPORT use to be.SO many theaters have fallen to the wayside never ever to resurrect again. This one in particular stands out in my memory so vividly is THE GLOBE which later was taken over by S.POLI and renamed THE LOEWS'GLOBE THEATER.ITS' location was 1270 MAIN STREET -BRIDGEPORT.Located about a block from THE POLI. IT sat 2500 patrons with one screen only and daily it was ten cents to enter and at night twenty five cents.Opened DECEMBER 23 1912.Backstage were dressing rooms for the stars who played there back in the day.Now only a memory of another era that brought changes to our city.Another theater that disappeared with others taking away from BRIDGEPORTS'movie goers.
