CT Mom Charged After Children Found Outside In The Cold: Report
The incident occurred Tuesday morning when temperatures were well-below freezing.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 30-year-old Bridgeport mother was arrested Tuesday morning after she allegedly left her pajama-clad children - ages five, four and two - outside in 13-degree weather while she went shopping, reports the Connecticut Post.
Arrested on three counts of risk of injury to a minor was Nokubonga Mnikathi, of Fourth Street. Bridgeport police have notified the Connecticut Department of Children and Families about the arrest. The children were found crying outside of their home by a sanitation worker who took the children to a neighbor's house and called the police, according to the publication.
Mnikathi was arrested when she returned home, and claimed the children must have opened the door and walked outside while she was gone. She was released after posting a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
