Suspect Found Dead In Fatal Bridgeport Shooting: UPDATE
The victim, a 27-year-old mother, was killed Monday night, and a possible suspect in the killing was found dead in Stratford, police said.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 27-year-old Bridgeport mother was shot and killed Monday night near Seaview Avenue in Bridgeport, and a possible suspect in the crime has been found dead in Stratford, according to Bridgeport police.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was shot just after 8 p.m. near the 100 block of Seaview Avenue. She was found lying in the roadway by police.
"Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive female with several injuries lying in the street on Central Avenue just south of its intersection with Seaview Avenue," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement. "Medics quickly arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased. The victim has been identified as a 27-year-old mother from the East End of Bridgeport."

Gilleran added, "The Bridgeport Police Department offers their sincerest condolences to the victim’s family and friends. Our continued thoughts and prayers are with the victim and her family."
Police initially said they were searching for Ricardo C. Robinson, a 28-year-old who is known to frequent Bridgeport's East End, for questioning in connection with the killing.

Late Tuesday morning, Gilleran said that Robinson was found dead in Stratford.
"Unfortunately, Mr. Robinson was located this morning in Stratford CT deceased," Gilleran wrote. "Stratford PD has taken the lead on the untimely death investigation. Next of kin have been notified.
"There are no outstanding suspect(s) in the Bridgeport homicide investigation from September 9, 2024."
Gilleran said the Bridgeport shooting appeared to be "a violent domestic assault where the victim knew her attacker."
