Motorcyclist Critically Injured In Bridgeport Crash: Police
A 41-year-old Bridgeport woman was critically injured in the crash on Newfield Avenue, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 41-year-old Bridgeport woman was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Newfield Avenue over the weekend, according to Bridgeport police.
The Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received a call at about 8:41 p.m. on Saturday reporting that a motorcyclist was unresponsive following a crash near Newfield Avenue and Beardsley Street.
American Medical Response, Bridgeport Fire Engine 6 and Bridgeport police officers responded to the scene. The woman was taken by AMR to Bridgeport Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

A preliminary investigation determined the woman was traveling north on Newfield Avenue when she lost control of the motorcycle, police said. The motorcycle struck a utility pole on the sidewalk before crashing through a gate and coming to rest on the property at 560 Newfield Ave.
The Bridgeport Police Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the crash.
