Motorcyclist Injured In 'Serious' Bridgeport Crash: Police
The crash occurred Monday at the intersection of North Avenue and Wells Street, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 44-year-old Bridgeport man was injured Monday when the motorcycle he was operating slammed into the back of a pickup truck in Bridgeport, according to police.
The crash, which remains under investigation by the police Serious Crash Team, occurred just after midnight.
"The collision occurred at the intersection of North Avenue and Wells Street involving a 2018 gray Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling eastbound on North Avenue and a gray Kawasaki motorcycle following behind, also traveling eastbound," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Lonnie Blackwell, M.S., in a statement.

American Medical Response, the Bridgeport Fire Department and Bridgeport police all responded to the scene of the crash.
Blackwell said that the motorcyclist was initially found unresponsive, but is being treated at St. Vincent's Medical Center; the driver of the pickup truck "remained on scene and was compliant."
