Uncle Charged In Killing Of 16-Year-Old Bridgeport Girl: Update

The victim was stabbed multiple times, according to police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 31-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Monday night on a charge of murder in connection with the stabbing death of his 16-year-old niece, the Connecticut Post reported.

Fairfield Avenue resident Richard Segabiro, who was taken into custody just after 10 p.m. Monday, allegedly phoned Bridgeport police to report that he had killed Francine Nyanzaninka.

Segabiro told police that he had raised her as his daughter; Bridgeport Police Chief A.J. Perez said the altercation that resulted in Nyanzaninka's death appears to have been a domestic dispute.
