New Hamburger & Pizza Spot Opens In Bridgeport

The co-branded restaurant is adding 35 jobs to the local economy, according to the parent company.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Hubspoke Brands announced the opening of a co-branded Wayback Burgers and Molte Pizze restaurant at 3710 Main St. in Bridgeport on Monday.

The restaurant combines the two fast-casual brands under one roof. Wayback Burgers serves made-to-order burgers, cheesesteaks, chicken sandwiches, fries, tater tots, onion rings, fried pickles and hand-dipped milkshakes. Molte Pizze offers three pizza styles — Tavern, New York and Detroit — along with salads.

According to parent company Hubspoke Brands, the 1,278-square-foot restaurant is expected to bring 35 jobs to the local economy.

The restaurant is owned and operated by longtime Wayback Burgers franchisee Bimal Thakkar, who is also planning to open another co-branded Wayback Burgers and Molte Pizze restaurant in Orange.

Currently, there are 22 Wayback Burgers locations in Connecticut, and only one other Molte Pizze spot in the state in Wallingford.

Thakkar said the new restaurant builds on his experience as a Wayback Burgers franchisee.

The 1,278-square-foot restaurant is expected to create 35 jobs, according to the company.

The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday and Sunday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
