Obit: Constantinos Andriolas, 92, Of Bridgeport

He was originally from Greece and wokred in manufacturing and carpentry in America.

Constantinos Andriolas age 92 of Bridgeport Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 25, 2018. He was born in Limni, Evia Greece in 1926 and lived there until young adulthood where he helped his family run their restaurant. He then became a chef on a Greek freight ship traveling internationally for 10 years. He was married in Athens Greece in 1967 to his beloved wife of 50 years Panagiota Betzelos from Tripoli, Arcadia Greece. They came to the US in 1968 and resided in Bridgeport. He worked various jobs the longest of which was in a plastic bottle manufacturing plant in Milford. After the company moved out of CT., he found work in carpentry making cabinets. When he retired he enjoyed spending time in Greece. His smile and happy demeanor brought joy to those he came in contact with. He was a religious man whose life focused around the church and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Panagiota, his daughter Nicoletta her husband Elias and children Giorgo and Costa, as well as his son Antonios. He also leaves behind his brother Leonidas and his wife Maria, their children, grandchildren, several nieces and nephews here and in Greece.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St. Bridgeport with Trisagion services at 5:30pm in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Ave, Bridgeport with Fr. Georgios Livaditis officiating, followed by Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. 06611. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church in memory of Constantinos.
