Obituary: Anne M. Newberry, 70, Of Bridgeport

Anne M. Newberry, 70 of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born in Bolton, England to the late Bohdan Gembatiuk and Hilda (Marilyn) Farrel. She grew up in Fairfield.

Anne worked for the U.S. Post office for over 30 years and loved chatting with people on her daily route. She relished having coffee in the mornings with her daughter Shannon, especially on Sundays while watching the Pioneer Woman. She loved catching her soap operas but her most special times spent was with her grandkids and her dog Rudy. Anne was incredibly selfless and kind to everyone she met. She worked hard to provide her family with the best life possible.

Anne was the matriarch and anchor of the family and she will be deeply missed by her children, Robert Newberry and Shannon Salicrup; her grandchildren, Brianna Helmes and her husband Jesse, and Savannah, Jake & Leeanna Salicrup: and her uncle, Jim Lenahen . She was predeceased by her parents Bohdan Gembatiuk and Hilda (Marilyn) Farrel as well as her beloved, Nick.
