Charles E. Hartley, Jr., age 88, entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Chuck, as he liked to be called, was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport, served in the U.S. Marine Corps, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and retired from the Bridgeport Fire Department as an acting lieutenant. With a passion for camping, many a nights were spent on Cockeney Island or Lake Waramaug in Litchfield County. Campfires were raging, laughter was loud, and food was plentiful. May he rest in peace with so many friends before, especially Frank.

Charles has left behind his three sons, Charles E. Hartley, III, Michael Brian Hartley, and Scott Hartley, all of Bridgeport. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles E. Hartley, Sr. and Mary Walsh.

Dad, you are forever missed and forever loved.

Funeral services will be held privately.
