Obituary: Joanna C. Miska, 79, of Bridgeport

Joanna C. Miska, 79, of Bridgeport, passed away on May 22, 2018 in her home. Joanna was born in Bridgeport on August 18, 1938 to the late Stephen and Sophia (Gedroic) Miska and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Harding High School Class of 1955, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Bridgeport, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Fairfield University. Joanna was a retired teacher for the Town of Fairfield, and was an avid photographer, and enjoyed to travel. Survivors include her devoted brother, Jan Miska and his wife Yvonne of Bridgeport, nephew, Jason Miska of Bridgeport, nieces, Tara Miska and her husband Luis Lopez of Bethany, and Erica Miska and her husband Paul Rigoli of Shelton, great-nieces and nephews, Sophia, Sam and Sebastian, her life long friends, Cecilia Hudzik and Eleanor Adzima.
