Obituary: Joseph Castendo, 86, Of Bridgeport

The following obituary is from Lesko Funeral Home:

Joseph Castendo, age 86, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal life on January 13, 2024.

Joseph was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport and Stratford and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He had worked for Avco Lycoming for many years. A kind man, Joseph was very generous with his time, talents, and treasures to his family and those in need.

Joseph's memory will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters, Marie Zahornacky, of Bridgeport and Barbara Sanchis, of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Anthony, and Vernard.

A Graveside Committal will take place with Full Military Honors on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825.
