Matthew James Britto of Midland, NC (formerly of Bridgeport, CT) passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022. Matthew was predeceased by his mother Susan B. Britto and his father George H. Britto, Sr. Matthew will be remembered most for his kindness, his love of animals and his courage and strength through diversity.

Matthew is survived by his uncles, Mark (Jeanne) Hastings of Midland, NC, James (Cheryl) Hastings of Imwood, WV and Herman (Arlene) Britto of Norwalk, CT, maternal grandmother, Irene Hastings of Imwood, WV, step brother, George H. Britto, Jr. of Cow Pens, SC, step sister, Christine Britto of Cow Pens, SC and several cousins and great cousins. The family would also like to thank staff at Emerald Ridge Rehabilitation Facility and Home Instead for the care provided to Matthew.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk, CT, from 3-5 PM, with a prayer service officiated by Reverend John Cardamone, to begin at 4:30PM.
