Obituary: Rose Marie Bernadette Kinik

Rose Marie Bernadette Kinik, age 80, of Bridgeport entered into rest on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Bishop Wicke with her loving family by her side.

She was the devoted wife of 49 years to Julius Steve Kinik. Rose Marie was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 27, 1941 daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Sturm) Weber.

She was a Math Professor at Sacred Heart University for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was always there to tutor others in math, especially her grandchildren. Rose Marie was an active member of the Columbiettes - Father Coleman Council. She loved traveling, golf, and playing games and doing puzzles with her grandchildren. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

Rose Marie was the beloved mother of Michael Kinik, and his wife Stephanie, and Jeni Sims, and her husband Mark. She was a loving grandmother of Michael, Ryan, Thomas, Andrew and Julia, and sister of Joseph Weber and the late Elizabeth Weber. She was also survived by several nephews.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Monday, friends are invited to go directly to St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
