EDGAR ALLAN POE's ''THE BLACK CAT''is indeed a twisted literary piece to say the least. After seeing a film based on POES' script it exposes POES' character very deeply.MY analysis is explained here in depth.POE to me may have been a troubled man in a sense. His use of words puzzle me at times.IF he did abuse alcohol then perhaps it affected his writing as well as story content and weird characters depicted in his works.HE seemed to have an emotional connection to his works.Perhaps this is why he was a master in horror writing.I believe POE wanted the reader to think about the expressiveness of his works on a deep thought level getting an emotional charge from the reading.IN any regards POE was indeed a genius in his own right and his works entertain us even now 150 years after his death.
