Police Chase Of Larceny Suspect Ends On I-95 In Bridgeport: Video

The suspect attempted to flee from the vehicle in the middle of I-95, according to Connecticut State Police.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A larceny suspect was pursued by Norwalk police onto I-95 during the evening rush hour Wednesday, before Connecticut State Police disabled the fleeing vehicle in Bridgeport using stop sticks to puncture the tires, according to authorities.

"Troopers observed the highly erratic vehicle traveling up the right shoulder of I-95 North in the area of exit 19, passing heavy, rush-hour traffic," state police officials wrote on Facebook.

The stop sticks were deployed by a trooper near exit 20, but the vehicle, a GMC Sierra pickup truck, kept going until near exit 25 in Bridgeport. See the video below.

"The male operator attempted to flee from the vehicle but was taken into custody after a brief struggle with Troopers," state police officials wrote.

He jumped out of the disabled truck in the middle of the thruway, according to authorities.

Arrested was Glenn London, 62, on the following charges:

  • Interfering with an Officer
  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Evading Responsibility/Property Damage
  • Reckless Driving
  • Engaging Police in a Pursuit

Following the arrest, troopers turned London over to Wallingford police in connection with an unrelated arrest warrant.
