Polo Event To Benefit Bridgeport Hospital REACH Program
The vital program focuses on meeting the emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric health needs of children and their families.
From Westport Polo: Come One, Come All - The Fairfield County Hunt Club invites the media and the public to join them on Sunday, August 26, as they host the 1st Annual Tommy Glynn Invitational Polo Cup benefitting the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation’s REACH Program.
Bridgeport Hospital’s REACH Program, 1558 Barnum Avenue, offers an intensive outpatient program (IOP), Medication Management and Outpatient Group Therapy for adolescents 5-17 years of age. The vital program focuses on meeting the emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric health needs of children and their families.
Experience the thrilling fast paced action as two longtime rivals, Gold’s Dragoons vs. Squadron A, compete for the coveted WIN (1pm) in Westport, CT. The Gold’s Dragoons celebrate the spirit of military service in the United States and British Commonwealth. The Squadron A Association, a volunteer, philanthropic organization provides a venue to celebrate the traditions, memories and contributions of Squadron A and the Horse Cavalry. “We are very excited to be bringing polo to the greater Westport area with our Tommy Glynn Invitational Cup and to be partnering with Bridgeport Hospital Foundation’s REACH program raising funds for the very important work they do in our local communities,” explained FCHC Polo Chair R. Scott Green. “We look forward to sharing the beautiful polo grounds of the FCHC, see you at polo August 26!” Pack a picnic or enjoy one of the many onsite venue offerings, during half time grab a glass of bubbly and participate in the traditional stomping of divets, meet the players after the match and dance the afternoon away as featured musical guest “Green Eyed Lady” performs classic rock and soul hits.

The event will kick off at 11am featuring numerous exciting events including the luxurious Chateau D’Esclans Whispering Angel VIP Lounge featuring Whispering Angel Rose’, Blue Ice Vodka and a traditional Argentine Asado (11:30-4:30), enjoy a culinary adventure through Argentina with Chef John’s Argentine Asado Buffet (12-4), best ladies hat awards, a Kidz Zone, reserved tailgating complete with a competition for best, grandstand seating, lawn seating and a full cash bar.
