Again nothing has been done really to date with the former home of REMINGTON ARMS.IN particular THE SHOT TOWER which was a vital part of the gun makers products sits there decaying and BRIDGEPORT suppose to have plans to use the property perhaps for-a railroad station in the future.The REMINGTON PLANT has sat there for years crumbling away with no salvation in sight as of yet.The shot tower was active for years and companies made shot balls dropping the moulten lead through a sleeve into the tower top and the balls would form and land in a basin of water to cool.This was the method to manufacture them then.The city has retained the REMINGTON ARMS property but wheter it will do something with the property remains to be seen.Perhaps one day the decaying buildings will be cleared and progress will be part of the future.
